# Heroes Unite Terms and Conditions

_1. Introduction_

1.1. These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern the relationship between Heroes Unite (“we”, “us”, or “our”), a registered credit provider with the National Credit Regulator (NCR), and you (“you” or “your”) in respect of the interest-free loan services (“Services”) provided by us.

_2. Eligibility_

2.1. The Services are exclusively available to first responders, including but not limited to, police officers, firefighters, paramedics, and emergency medical technicians.

2.2. You must be 18 years or older and have a valid South African ID to apply for the Services.

_3. Loan Terms_

3.1. We offer interest-free loans up to R1000.

3.2. The loan is repayable on your next payday.

3.3. The total cost of the loan is R250, comprising of:

– Initiation fee: R100

– Service fee: R60

– Administration fee: R90

_4. Application and Approval Process_

4.1. You must submit an application for the Services through our website.

4.2. We reserve the right to request additional information or documentation to verify your identity, employment, or creditworthiness.

4.3. We will review your application and notify you of our decision.

_5. Repayment Terms_

5.1. You agree to repay the loan amount, plus the total cost of R250, on your next payday.

5.2. We will deduct the repayment amount from your salary or bank account, as authorized by you.

_6. Default and Late Payment_

6.1. If you fail to repay the loan on the agreed-upon date, we reserve the right to charge additional fees and interest.

6.2. We may report your default to credit bureaus, which may negatively affect your credit score.

_7. Confidentiality and Data Protection_

7.1. We will keep your personal and financial information confidential.

7.2. We will comply with the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA) and other applicable data protection laws.

_8. Governing Law and Jurisdiction_

8.1. These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of South Africa.

8.2. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be resolved through arbitration in accordance with the Arbitration Act of South Africa.

_9. Changes to Terms_

9.1. We reserve the right to modify or amend these Terms at any time.

9.2. We will notify you of any changes to these Terms and provide you with a revised version.

_10. Acceptance_

10.1. By applying for the Services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and accepted these Terms.

10.2. You agree to be bound by these Terms and any amendments thereto.
